Uwah, she wore the XXKK outfit! That was probably my favorite part of the video/song lol. She looks gorgeous as always. Loving the flower veil look, it's very serene. I'm guessing it was during the MOON CRYING--Through the sky bit.

This is presumably the same show that aired live on TV Asahi, so hopefully someone recorded that one and can upload a better quality video than mine. :P
My thoughts: I'm glad there were some older songs thrown into the mix. I still wish she'd go back to having a live band behind her for tours, but with Covid-19 I guess I can let this one slide. :P She really seems to love AND, since there's 5 songs from it on here. I liked the transitioning from TAKE BACK (her first song) to XXKK (her newest song). Through the sky and Bassline were nice surprises! I was expecting a lot worse so I'm pleasantly surprised. I wish we could have gotten a live performance of either SHUTOUT or Merry Go Round from re(cord) though TvT

Thank you so much Sodiumamytal for upload the show..Kinda annoys me the lightning on xxkk performance is too bright also too dark barely see her face =.=.. But, the 1st interlude movie is hillarious, the CM part make me laugh so hard XD
~Ai wo Tomenaide~
Thank you for create this first news ! Congrats !
I loved to watch the show on mu mo !

Lol, can't download it as there's too much traffic, but I will watch it hopefully later today.
I'm really glad she changed up the tracklist. A 20th anniversary without milestones like TAKE BACK, TABOO and real Emotion - even if it's in a medley - wouldn't feel very much like a 20th anniversary show, as I was talking about below.
I'm also super happy she finally performed "GOT ME GOING". It's probably the newest song in the recent years that I'm most addicted to. "BASSLINE" is also a favorite of mine as it harkens back to lounge songs like MORE. I'm kinda mad at myself for not watching it live, but it WAS at midnight my time lol.

I'm a little disappointed, if this tracklist ends up being the setlist for the tour. I was hoping a 20th anniversary tour would be more inclusive of older songs from her past, but this is just a playlist of mostly overperformed tracks from the last 5 years. Although there are some songs here I adore (DITR, Ultraviolet, Eh Yo, WOML), I feel like some of them need a rest (we could go 10 years without another performance of Loaded, tbh). While I'm grateful a lot of her setlist filler songs are absent (KNT, Lady Go, PLC, MNH, Comes Up), it's disappointing that her 15th (and even 10th) anniversary tracklists had a wider range of songs from her career than her 20th. :/
Fingers crossed there are some bonuses in the live. At least the DVD has more interesting selections, though some of them are headscratchers (So Nice is picked as the top performance from Japonesque when Bling x3 + No Man's Land exists?? Out of all the songs on Dejavu she picked Melting??????)

I'm disappointed too :( This is her TWENTIETH anniversary. This is huge. I was eagerly awaiting the release of this, but... yeah, it's all music from 2014-- on, with a few exceptions. I feel like it's avex meddling, due to the fact that her sales have been on the decline since AND. Which is again avex's fault, since they haven't given her the budget to make as many PVs or physical singles. So I think avex is trying to get people re-interested in her recent releases...
I don't like it. It should be a celebration of her career. This doesn't feel like something Kuu would put together. For one thing, where's TAKE BACK? She always gives her proper dues to the debut single. And real Emotion? That was groundbreaking for her. CUTIE HONEY was also a career boost, and she's said she owes a lot to that cover for being where she is today. Ai no Uta is one of the best J-Pop love songs of the 2000s, and Moon Crying too. Where are they?
FANTASIA was very diverse, even THE ARTIST, which I wasn't that psyched about, contained pivotal and beloved music. 20th anniversary feels like Kumi sticking to rebranding herself and forgetting 2000-2014.
I also agree with sodium about the DVD, though I think it's almost all misses. Hurry Up! from TRICK was easily one of the best feats she's ever done at a live show, I can't even remember stay with me. And yeah, the drum performance of No Man's Land (so underrated a song btw) is burned into my memory. So Nice was a very dull start to that show, she couldn't even walk... And I think It's All Love! never gets the attention it deserves - her performance with misono at FANTASIA was insane fun.
Overall I think the FC lost out with this one. I'm nervous about the concert now, too, and I don't think I'll be attending the online show.

The tracklist is disappointed
The dvd content is disappointed
The photoshoot for the booklet is also disappointed..it doesn't feels like a 20th anniversary celebration album T.T

I am very disappointed, still the concert is amazing. Also I amd very happy that i got the exact same Jacket as KuuChan wearing the fourth part, it from Thai Designer Brand called GAME OVER, BANGKOK and it cost 90$. FINALLY!!! i felt closer to Kuu even i can't make it to concert.

Oh my god!!! This is fantastic news! I have never been to Japan, let alone able to see Kuu live, but I'll be able to see her concert the same time as everyone else?! This is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing how to do it~<3

oh my goooooooooood yes! I wonder how I could record the stream.... Any way to pull the stream from the source, or would i be better off just using a screen recorder? Any recommendations? Of course I'll share it here if I can figure out how to do it. :D

Yesterday, Kuu made a talk live on Youtube (but also Insta or twitter).
You can find the video below !
During 1 hour, she talked about XXKK, My name is..., and the next livetour.
She get some informations :
- 20 of the signs (gift of the album) will be hand made sign, and not print sign
- The album have a regular size, not a vinyle one
- No photobook but booklet only
- the setlist contains IS THIS TRAP
- about 20 lives from all livetour on the 145min long DVD : lives should be full, this time! With Kuu's commentary
- You can see the Large Size of the Tshirt
For the first time, I think 9900Y is expansive for this content.... 20 songs and 145min DVD looks luxury... but no exclusive content... No photobook either... I would love to see some USJ live footage, or hawaii footage (because it's a fc exclusive release..)
What do you think ?
<3 I'm always glad to hear IS THIS TRAP? live, it's such a fun song and one of my favorites of her pop anthems. I also agree on the price, however... It's her 20th anniversary, this would be the album to go all-out and do like, a gift basket of goodies for the album!

A new song, XXKK, has been surprisingly announced today and was released on streaming platforms today! It’s the 3rd and last single of Kumi’s 20th anniversary project.
The MV has also been released on YouTube today! In it, Kumi is wearing a crown and has a lion head on her shoulder and on her cane, just like the logo of the arena tour. Maybe we can expect this outfit during the tour? Maybe for the opening?
The tour is starting soon! Stay tuned, as many more surprises are surely coming our way in the next few weeks!
Am I the only one who isn't a fan of her rapping/trap-style songs like this? :( I like the parts where she breaks for a softer sound, and the music video is to die for, but I feel like Kuu doesn't need to adopt this American-rap style. :( I'll give it several more listens and see if I warm up to it, though.

Today is the Kumi's day (Kumi = 9.3 as September, 3rd) !
To celebrate it, a new song will be available in few hours, and a MV will be released few hours after on YT. Saturday, we will have an insta live!
Let the Kumi's day festivities begin !
Kumi Koda releases cool third single "XXKK" representing the 20th anniversary year! MV will be released and SNS live will be distributed!
Ku-chan will release the third single of the 20th anniversary year, “XXKK”, on Friday, September 4th!
Different from "Lucky Star" which was released on Friday, August 28,this is a powerful dance number filled with her "strength" and "confidence" that has reigned as "QUEEN OF LIVE".
The title "XXKK" represents "20" of the 20th anniversary = "XX", and "Kumi Koda", initial "KK".
The lyrics also have realistic depictions that give you a glimpse of her determination and way of life as an artist.
The next day, September 5th (Saturday), from 22:00 JST, Ku-Chan will have live distribution on YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram. She will talk about her thoughts on the song and the tour "KODA KUMI 20th ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2020 MY NAME IS..." starting on Saturday, September 12. Please check this as well!
I hope this song will give you a chance to live stronger.
